Hold onto your lederhosen, folks! I am extraordinarily excited and fortunate to be attending Davos this year for the World Economic Forum in Switzerland. As a delegate for The Digital Economist, I’ll be preaching about my two favorite topics, AI and Blockchain on Monday, January 20th. More details to come, but I can assure you it’ll be a riveting discussion on the future of… everything important. I’m still working on that part.
My Davos To-Do List:
- Angel Investor Mode: Activated
I’ll be on the prowl for the next big thing in blockchain and AI. If you’ve got a startup that can explain blockchain without putting people to sleep or an AI that can finally tell me why my dog twists his head when he looks at me, I’m all ears. Bonus points if your pitch includes free samples of Swiss chocolate. But seriously, I am looking for some great mashups of the two techs as the use cases grow. Please reach out if you have gone down the road of agentic AI leveraging blockchain/crypto. - Speaker (At Least Once)
Brace yourselves for a whirlwind tour of the future, delivered with all the enthusiasm of a kid who just discovered coffee. Expect insights on blockchain, AI, politics, and the future of work – all explained through the medium of interpretive dance. (Okay, probably not the dance part – maybe I will yodel instead.) - Podcast Palooza
The podcast, “Tech Snippets Today,” is always hungry for more content. We’ve had over 70 guests in the last two years – everyone from chess grandmasters to crypto wizards, and now we’re looking for the next big thing. Maybe it’s you! Or maybe it’s that talking AI toaster in the corner. Either way, I’m game.
Name-Dropping: Because That’s What They Do in Davos
Speaking of podcasts, did I mention we’ve had some pretty cool guests? Gary Kasparov (yes, THAT Kasparov) shared his thoughts on AI beating him at chess. Dante Disparte from Circle talked about the future of money (spoiler: it’s round). And Frank McCourt… well, he founded Project Liberty, which might just take over TikTok. We’ve also chatted with Kristin Milchanowski about quantum computing (or will it be quantum leaping?), Sandeep Nailwal CEO at Polygon (not the shape, the Ethereum blockchain Layer 2), and Dana Maor from McKinsey about… McKinsey stuff. Ian Rogers from Ledger talked wallets (the crypto kind, not the ones you lose in taxis), and Anurag Dhingra from Cisco wowed about the future of work life.
So, If You’re in Davos…
If you find yourself in this winter wonderland of world leaders and overpriced espresso, give me a shout! We can chat about the future, record a podcast, talk funding, or just commiserate about how many layers it takes to stay warm.
