I’m incredibly excited to share that Woodpecker has been acquired by MyCase, a leading provider of cloud-based practice management software for the legal industry. (You can read the full press release here.). I’d like to share my perspective on what this means for Woodpecker, MyCase, and the future of the legal industry.

Firstly, Woodpecker remains steadfastly committed to servicing our customers with the best possible customer service and technology available. We remain devoted to this commitment as we embark on the next phase of our journey as a team. Our customers are at the core of everything we do and we plan on keeping it that way.

Woodpecker has joined the growing MyCase family to further our mission of building the future of legal by empowering attorneys to productize their services while ensuring access to legal expertise for a fraction of the cost of traditional options. The acquisition represents a tremendous opportunity to continue serving our customers and to grow Woodpecker’s product offering. Woodpecker continues to be led by its founding team with the acquisition being announced today, November 9th, 2021, during MyCase’s inaugural customer conference.

Additionally, I’m especially excited to be working with the MyCase leadership team, headed by Jim McGinnis, CEO of MyCase. Jim shares Woodpecker’s vision for revolutionizing the legal industry while empowering & servicing customers as our primary goal. Jim had this to say about the acquisition: “At MyCase, our mission is to help law firms thrive with technology they love and Woodpecker is the only Word-based, attorney-friendly document assembly system on the market that furthers that mission. Woodpecker empowers firms of all sizes to automate document creation and to productize routine legal documents. We believe Woodpecker will play a crucial role in our drive towards serving the entire legal industry with cutting-edge technology that fundamentally transforms the practice of law.”

The founding Woodpecker team has remained in key roles since the acquisition and are all incredibly excited for this next phase in Woodpecker’s journey. This continuity ensures that our customer service and technology continue to delight our customers and partners while we remain focused on our mission to empower law firms of all sizes to modernize their document workflows and meet clients’ changing preferences for the delivery of legal services.

Woodpecker’s onboarding, customer success, sales, and engineering teams have already expanded since the acquisition, ultimately allowing us to continue servicing our growing customer base without skipping a beat. Additionally, newly rolled-out services like our white-glove template development service have allowed us to drastically shorten the onboarding process and overall time-to-value for our customers.

I want to sincerely thank the incredibly dedicated Woodpecker team, our engaged customers, and our passionate investors & advisors for their unwavering support, belief in our mission, and invaluable guidance in continuing to drive Woodpecker forward. I could not be prouder of the work our team has accomplished, and we couldn’t have done any of this without you. I look forward to our future with MyCase as we continue to transform the legal industry.

Thank you
